The IFI Prayer Tour has visited Maskiot in 2007, 2008 and 2010. We went there to pray for the Jordan Valley and for the new community to be founded there. In 2007 and 2008 the government had frozen the permission needed to build. There were the beginnings of pillars poured but nothing else. It is a real answer to prayer that they now have permission to build and the foundations are poured. This is a double miracle as there is an area-wide "freeze" on building in Samaria. Be encouraged and keep praying.

O LORD, you have searched me, and known me. You know my sitting and my rising, you understand my thought afar off. You compass my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, you know it altogether. You have beset me behind and before, and laid your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it. Where shall I go from your spirit? or where shall I flee from your presence? 1. President Obama's chief of staff Rahm Emmanuel is visiting Israel. Up until now, he has not shown himself to be friendly toward Israel. It was reported this past week that when he went to the Western Wall to pray, he had tears in his eyes. Whether this is true or not, we want to lift up this man of influence to the Lord and ask for Him to touch Obama's right hand man. He is an Israeli-American and the son of a man who fought for Israel.
   • Lord, deposit something of Yourself in his spirit so that there can be a change in his heart towards Israel.
   • Bring him to place of revelation about how hostile Obama's policies have been.
   • Please show Rahm the reality of what his father fought for.
   • Open his eyes in the same way that You opened Paul's eyes on the road to Damascus.
   • Lord, open Rahm's eyes to the danger posed by a nuclear Iran and allow him to convey that to the US Administration.
   • Lord shake him from his deepest parts that remain Jewish no matter where he goes or what he does.
   • Allow Rahm to see this nation as his true home.
   • Set him free from the Humanism and Left-wing thinking that has pushed him to bring evil counsel to the White House.
2. There is a flotilla of ships on its way to Israel from Turkey which hopes to run the Israeli blockade of Gaza. The ships are full of people who hate Israel and who want to show their support for Hamas. Israel has said they will stop this group of boats but there is real potential for a PR disaster for this country. On the other hand, allowing the boats to land would signal our neighbors that Israel is weak.
   • Hedge in the flotilla and cause all the boats to be boarded by theIsraeli Navy.
   • Give wisdom to the Navy to know what to do and how to do it-  let them not act impulsively, but with true discernment.
   • Lord, use the weather to affect the purpose of the flotilla
   • Bring a storm to the Mediterranean so that they would turn back or ask Israel for help - let wind rise and howl so that they know the Fear of the Lord.
   • Let the right message come forth from the Israeli government in response to this illegal attempt to land in Gaza - break through with a solid message from sharp people who speak for Israel
   • Let the government finally see Turkey as an enemy for allowing this flotilla to depart from its shores.
   • Expose whatever is truly happening with these ships. If there are weapons onboard, let them be discovered and revealed to the reporters who wait to report on the situation.

   • Thus says the LORD, which gives the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divides the sea when the waves thereof roar; The LORD of hosts is His name.

3. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been invited to the US for a "proper" visit. The last time Netanyahu was in the states he was treated shamefully by the Obama Administration. This time he is supposed to receive all the courtesies due a head of state. The Israeli Prime Minister is in need of heavy prayer so that he is not taken by surprise and so that he will be able to stand firm.
   • Lord lift up Netanyahu's hands that are weary and meet intimately with him.
   • Father, speak clearly to him and give the PM an anointing for his meeting with President Obama - may he have a backbone of steel!
   • Give him the message that you want him to bring to the United States - Lord, don't allow Netanyahu to leave the States until you have used him to bring forth your Word.

   • The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turns it where so ever he will.

     Proverbs 21:1

   • Give him strength to stand under the pressure that will come at him from all sides AND give him the strength to push back.
   • Israel has always been on the defense when it comes to PR worldwide, but Lord give Netanyahu a "spirit of advance" so that the US would be put on the defense.
   • Let those who are on Israel's side in the States stand and be counted while he is there.
   • Expose the "spin" that will come against Israel to be the LIES that they are.
4. It is vital that Netanyahu be able to give a picture of how dangerous Iran is. Until now, the only one who has been consistently warning the world has been Israel.
   • Allow Netanyahu to be able to articulate clearly the Iranian threat.
   • When ever Obama brings up the Palestinian issue, move the PM to bring the conversation back to the Iranian threat.
   • While Netanyahu is in the States, allow new intelligence about Iran to come out - let the danger of Iran be seen clearly.
   • Allow the PM to see the true motives Obama has toward the Iranian problem - let this show Netanyahu the need for Israel's commitment to address the problem ourselves.
5. This past week, Israel had internal security drills all across the country. Sirens went off all over Israel and people were asked to respond. The actual response to the drills was very apathetic. The question of "Is this country ready for attack?" was clearly answered with an emphatic "No". Israel must get herself ready for what will come soon.
   • Lord, prepare us so that we might not be surprised by our enemies.
   • Teach us the difference of being prudent through alertness and living in fear.
   • Lord, don't allow the people of Israel to live in denial of reality.
   • Let us not be like the ostrich with its head stuck in the sand.
   • Show us that we all have to be ready and not just the IDF or the government.
   • Expose the lies of humanism that say there is no way anyone would attack us in the ways they are threatening.
   • Help us as a nation to depend on You as the Protector.
6. The Body in Israel, as with the rest of the world, is in need of real prayer. There needs to be true unity present and not some false ecumenical nonsense. One of the foundational pieces of greater unity is unity through the sanctity of marriage.
   • May we be brought together around the understanding that the marriage relationship is vital to Your greater plan of redemption.
   • Show us how we can address the constant attack of the enemy against Godly families.
   • Deliver us from the worldly attitude that marriage is a matter of convenience.
   • Lord, please go to war on behalf of those families who are struggling and who are under attack.
7. There needs to be more of an urgency in the heart of the Body of Yeshuafor the salvation of Israel. It is understood as a good principle of the Word, but that principle needs to be put into action.
   • Motivate the Body to action and let us come out from our passive comfort zones.
   • Show us again how crucial the Salvation of Israel is to Your eternal purpose.
   • Help us all to reach our more to the neighbors around us.

Prayer Alert 10-15, May 29, 2010 – Sivan 15, 5770
• Wars and rumors of war "You will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not frightened, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end." (Mt 24:6) The burden to pray for Israel is stronger than normal and we really want to convey what is on our hearts in this week's Prayer Alert. More and more experts, both Israeli and others, are expressing a strong concern that another Middle East war could break out already this summer. The main reason for such a scenario is Iran and its drive to continue developing nuclear weapons. As we have stated earlier Hezbollah, Iran's proxy in Lebanon, are today armed to their teeth and ready to strike Israel with at least four times as many rockets at their disposal compared to the war in the summer of 2006. They also have much more advanced types of weapons, which are able to reach any city in Israel. Technically they could strike the IDF headquarters in Tel Aviv at any time. This is despite the fact that the war in 2006 ended with a UN initiated signed agreement to disarm Hezbollah. No wonder Israelis call UN the United Nothings. When a plague came upon Israel during the time of King David, the prophet Gad told David, “We must once again turn to God in serious fasting and prayer for Israel in view of the present dangers!” "'Go up and build an altar to the LORD on the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite.' So David went up, as the LORD had commanded through Gad. …David built an altar to the LORD there and sacrificed burnt offerings and fellowship offerings. Then the LORD answered prayer in behalf of the land, and the plague on Israel was stopped."(2 Sam 24:18-19,25) During another time of national crisis King Jehoshaphat ordered a fast and then prayed, "See how they are repaying us by coming to drive us out of the possession you gave us as an inheritance. O our God, will you not judge them? For we have no power to face this vast army that is attacking us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are upon you." (2 Chr 20:11-12) The enemies of Israel turned against each other and Israel was safe. God fought their battle. We must once again turn to God in serious fasting and prayer for Israel in view of the present dangers! Wallely  Wallely believes that a new war is imminent and that it might also include chemical weapons being launched at Israel. He gives a very alarming and up to date report. Air raid sirens sounded across the country at 11 AM on Wednesday and citizens made their way to the nearest bomb shelters in anticipation of future massive missile barrages on Israeli population's centers that are expected to eclipse by far the Hizbullah rocket war of summer 2006. "'Every country in the world trains for emergency scenarios like earthquakes and fires. Here in Israel we train for those, as well as for enemy attacks,' said Col. Chilik Soffer of the IDF Home Front Command. He added that authorities have identified 200,000 rooms in hotels and youth hostels all over the country for people who want to leave their homes, and are also compiling a list of ordinary families willing to take in evacuees, as happened with Galilee residents fleeing south during the Second Lebanon War of summer 2006. "Sensing that Jewish communities in the West Bank may be less targeted by enemy missiles, leaders of the settler movement also announced that they have a plan to absorb as many as a half million residents from more vulnerable areas of the populated coastal plain and the border areas with Lebanon and Gaza. Students at Ariel University also participated in a drill on Wednesday simulating the absorption of large numbers of refugees. "Col. Soffer added that this year’s drill demonstrated significant progress since last year’s Turning Point 3 exercise, but added a somber warning that Israel is ill-prepared for an attack on the country involving chemical weapons due to the lack of gas masks. The IDF has confirmed recently that only 60% of the gas masks the government collected from the public three years ago have been refurbished and of those only 300,000 have been redistributed to the public. “Israel’s largest-ever civil defense exercise is just the latest in a long series of such drills” "Israel’s largest-ever civil defense exercise is just the latest in a long series of such drills that are being used to prepare the country for what many fear is the inevitable resumption of hostilities by Iran, Syria, and their proxy militia’s Hizbullah in Lebanon and Hamas in Gaza. Representatives from over 30 countries are in Israel this week to observe the drill, including the chief of the US National Guard, Gen. Craig McKinley." (End of quote ICEJ News Service) Israel is preparing to confront flotilla of extreme Gaza-bound peace activists Finally this week, we have the flotilla of Gaza-bound extreme peace activists scheduled to arrive this weekend. We encourage all of you to pray for this incident. Here is another report from ICEJ News Service. "In what is shaping up as a perilous game of ‘chicken’ on the high seas, senior Israeli leaders have instructed the country’s naval forces to block an international flotilla of pro-Palestinian activists and aid cargo from reaching Gaza this weekend, calling the supposed humanitarian effort “an absolute provocation” and a “cheap political stunt.” "The latest “Free Gaza” flotilla is made up of at least six passenger vessels and three cargo ships, which are carrying some 800 activists, including  dozens of parliamentarians from various European and Arab countries and at least one Israeli Arab MK, as well as over 10,000 tons of building materials and medical supplies. The ships left various ports in Europe and Turkey and are to rendezvous in Cyprus on Thursday before forming into one convoy intent on running the Israeli sea blockade of Gaza, imposed after Hamas seized control of the Strip in June 2006. "The flotilla organizers reportedly claim to be carrying 10,000 tons of concrete for rebuilding homes in Gaza, but which Israel suspects will be diverted by Hamas to build reinforced bunkers. "Some of the vessels are flying the Turkish flag, and officials in Ankara insisted this week that they must be allowed to reach Gaza, setting up a delicate diplomatic confrontation with Israel’s once stalwart regional ally but which is now ruled by an Islamist government "To head off any altercations, Israeli authorities have offered to unload the cargo at the Ashdod port, where it would undergo a proper security check and be transported to Gaza under the auspices of the United Nations. “Gaza is under a legal sea blockade and the flotilla is viewed by Israel as an absolute provocation.” "However, Israeli officials do not expect much cooperation and thus the seven-man inner security cabinet has ordered the navy to intercept the flotilla anyway, including boarding them by force if necessary. The aid will be unloaded at Ashdod and sent to Gaza after inspection, as with other such international aid shipments, while the activists will be detained and offered free flights home or an Israeli jail cell. "In an indication of the seriousness of the situation, Yossi Gal, director general of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, summoned for a third time in recent days the ambassadors of Turkey, Greece, Cyprus, Sweden and Ireland – the countries from which the ships set sail – warning them once again that Gaza is under a legal sea blockade and the flotilla is viewed by Israel as "an absolute provocation." "There is no shortage of humanitarian aid to Gaza, Gal insisted, as food products, fuel and supplies are constantly transferred in by international aid organizations, to the tune of about 100 truck loads per day. He, too, invited the flotilla organizers to willingly dock at Ashdod port. "Gal also stressed that Gaza is under the control of the terrorist militia Hamas, which is under the patronage of Iran and does not really care about the well-being of the residents of Gaza. Because Hamas continues to arm itself with weapons through smuggling operations and to target Israeli civilians, he insisted that Israel has the inherent right under international law to impose a maritime blockade on Gaza, notice of which has been duly published with the proper international authorities. "The IDF also released today a report by the Intelligence & Terrorism Information Center which linked several Hamas officials and other well-known Islamic extremists with the flotilla. "Attending a send-off ceremony for one of the passenger ships in Istanbul yesterday were Mahmad Tzoalha and Sahar Albirawi, two top Hamas terrorists operating in the UK, and Hamam Said, a leader of the Muslim Brotherhood in Jordan. Sheikh Raed Salah, a leader of the radical Islamic Movement in Israel who has reportedly raised funds for Hamas, was also present at the event. "One of the main sponsors of the Gaza flotilla is Turkey’s Humanitarian Relief Foundation (IHH), whose leader Bolant Yilderim delivered a torrid speech at the send-off ceremony in Istanbul. “Israel behaves like Hitler did towards the Jews. Hitler built concentration camps in Germany, and today the Zionist entity is building concentration camps in Palestine,” he charged. "Foreign journalists will be on board both the ships of the Gaza-bound flotilla and the Israeli naval vessels which will come out to meet them, an encounter which could occur as early as noon on Friday but more likely on Saturday morning. In addition, a small armada of private Israeli craft plans to float out to meet the aid convoy and impede its journey. "The Israeli navy has held a number of drills in recent weeks to prepare for the arrival of the small fleet, while the meager Hamas naval patrol has been practicing its welcome maneuvers in converted fishing boats over recent days President Obama Inviting Prime Minister Netanyahu to Washington Over the past weeks, the Obama administration has made huge efforts to stave off criticism for its treatment of Israel. Fearing a major backlash from especially Jewish voters in the upcoming mid term elections this fall, several rabbis were invited last week to the White House where Chief-of-Staff Rahm Emanuel admitted that the President had made mistakes in his dealings with Israel. On a visit to Israel this week Rahm also gave an official invitation to Prime Minister Netanyahu to visit to the White House already next week. Seeing that his mistreatment of Netanyahu caused a backlash both in the US and in Israel, he is now trying the opposite approach to get Israel to do what he wants. “Many times it is much easier to resist opposition than applauds.” We need to pray that Prime Minister Netanyahu will stand firm and unwavering also during this new approach to court him, just as he stood firm when he was maligned by the President. Many times it is much easier to resist opposition than applauds. May God be merciful and help Netanyahu! One of the many pressures he will face is to extend the ten month building freeze in Judea and Samaria when it expires in September. • Pray for increased intercession right now for Israel! "David built an altar to the LORD there and sacrificed burnt offerings and fellowship offerings. Then the LORD answered prayer in behalf of the land, and the plague on Israel was stopped." (2 Sam 24:25) • Pray for divine protection over Israel against Iran's and Hezbollah's rockets! "Then Asa called to the LORD his God and said, 'LORD, there is no one like you to help the powerless against the mighty. Help us, O LORD our God, for we rely on you, and in your name we have come against this vast army. O LORD, you are our God; do not let man prevail against you.'" (2 Chr 14:11) • Pray that the armies of heaven will be released to fight the battle against Israel's enemies! "the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel. All …will know that it is not by sword or spear that the LORD saves; for the battle is the LORD's, and he will give all of you into our hands." (1 Sam 17:46-47) • Pray that God will give Israel wisdom and divine assistance to deal with the armada of peace extremists and the media war that will follow! "Save me, O LORD, from lying lips and from deceitful tongues. What will he do to you, and what more besides, O deceitful tongue? He will punish you with a warrior's sharp arrows, with burning coals of the broom tree. …Too long have I lived among those who hate peace. I am a man of peace; but when I speak, they are for war." (Ps 120) • Pray for Prime Minister Netanyahu to stand strong and united against US and international threats, pressures and enticements in the peace negotiations! "On that day the LORD will shield those who live in Jerusalem, so that the feeblest among them will be like David, and the house of David will be like God, like the Angel of the LORD going before them. On that day I will set out to destroy all the nations that attack Jerusalem." (Zech 12:8-9) • Pray for the Jewish people begin to seek their God and the Messiah! "Afterward the Israelites will return and seek the LORD their God and David their king. Our Outdoor Kitties, All Grown Up....

Here's all of our kitties, now over a year old.

And her sister, Tiger Girl (the sweetest one of the bunch). 

I just LOVE her tail!!!!!

And our gentle giant and sweet boy, Gray. He and Tiger both have long fur with very fluffy tails. the rest are shorthairs. 

Here are the gray sisters, Diamond Girl....

and Pie (named that because of her orange piebald mark on her forehead). When you look at her head from the side, her profile reminds me of one of those sleek egyptian cats.

Amazing how NONE of these cats have black fur!

and then, here is our February Charity Case, "Big Red", who showed up, exhausted, after the major snow storm.... I guess she's adopted us, because she's still here LOL

and very AFFECTIONATE, I might add. What a RED beauty she is. very SOFT.
