Praying For Others - Good Thing to Keep in Mind

Praying for one another is a Christian duty we all have, but it is also an expression of care and concern for others that we freely give out of Christian love.  All those who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ can know that anything they ask of God according to His will, they will have (I John 5:13-15).  The Lord hears and honors the prayers of the righteous.

The Bible tells us in I Timothy 2:1-4 that we should make requests, prayers, intercession, and thanksgiving to God for everyone, for this is pleasing to the Lord "who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth."  James 1:22 further instructs us that we are not merely to listen to the Word, but also to do what it says.

When you pray for the needs of others, you are being obedient to the Word of God, and because His will is directly reflected in His Word, you are praying in agreement with Him.  There is great power in agreeing with God and His Word!  Continue to hold up to the Lord those individuals you are concerned about for salvation and for healing.

Continue also to praise God and thank Him for doing a great work in the lives of those you are praying for.  Don't wait to see the physical evidence in their lives.  Believe that your great God keeps all His promises, and stepping out in faith, exalt and honor Him through worship.
